A New York City based studio, Method Design Architecture has finished a renovated residence called the DPR Residence in the last year. The project took place in Pound Ridge; a small town in Westchester County, New York, USA, placed on the roadside with trees view on the back and grass yard and large rocks around the building. Making the residence is easy to be reached and has a great view at the same time.
The renovated residence design uses mixed materials from the wood, metal, with concrete. Most parts of the exterior use grey color, except for the wood entrance and wood window frames. The entrance located after the wood stairs with metal railings and unpainted ceiling with ceiling lamps, and there are some black pillars you can see near the entrance too. On the upper floor, there is a deck, also with metal railings and some out warded parts for the windows.
The living room located after the entrance uses wood floor with a part covered by white carpet. There are also an L‐shaped grey sofa and square wood table to enjoy the TV. If you like it, you can also read the books or listen to the CDs that are arranged neatly on the wood shelves, integrated with the white wall. From here, you can go to the kitchen that is dominated with wood furniture but uses red tiles flooring and metal stools.
The bedroom located on the upper floor is covered with the separator wall and has an access to the deck with the sliding window door. The bathroom of the house, also located on the second floor, is using different flooring too with the black large tiles and stone flooring on the glass walled shower room. There are some decorations that you can find on the renovated residence design interior like some wood statues and paintings on the wall.
